With just six matches remaining and some of the surrounding teams having games in hand, Britcom-sponsored Terrington Glory FC are still in the somewhat precarious position of 11th out of 15 teams in the York Premier League.
Results continue to be very mixed with a good performance tending to be followed up by some very indifferent ones. Undoubtedly the result of the season was the January thrashing of potential title contenders, Dunnington, by the scoreline of 6-2 which shows the potential which remains in the team when firing on all cylinders. However, the next two games then ended in defeat.
Fortunately, there should be enough of a cushion to see off the threat of relegation this season, especially with a few games left against fellow strugglers. It has been a difficult season all round with the loss of key players at times to injury and other reasons, and hopefully the Glory can regroup this summer and add a couple of signings to strengthen the team to attack what should be a fourth season in the top tier of local York league football.
