As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we'd like to introduce you to our current Apprentices and give you an insight into what they do.
Apprentice Commercial Vehicle Technicians
Aiden and Andrew are apprentices within our Service Workshops. They both attend Hull College one day per week, where they learn and practice all aspects of mechanical repairs. Back on site they get a wide range of experience working on all makes and models of commercial vehicles.
Below Andrew (left) has just completed a service on this truck and is using the diagnostic equipment to reset the service lights and check for any stored system faults. While Aiden (right) has just replaced a camshaft in this truck.
Tom & Joe are apprentices within our Chassis Engineering & Bodybuilding Workshops and attend college one day per week . Over the other four days, they then put this learning into practice, supported by the Britcom qualified team leaders and get to work on chassis, bodies, trailers, cranes.
Below, Tom (left) is making up side guard brackets for a gas bottle carrier body. And on the right, Joe is drilling the sides for a dropsider with his Team Leader, Simon.
Jaedon has just completed his apprenticeship within our Repair & Paint Workshop where we offer full accident repair, refurbshing and painting of all commercial vehicles. Below Jaedon is prepping adjacent surfaces ready to reapply a second colour on this vehicle.
