The Big One - Following It's Progress
The EFFER 1750 - believed to be the largest, greatest capacity and longest reach knuckleboom crane in the UK is currently in build.
Over the coming days, leading up to the show we'll provide progress report and images so you can follow the progress of this exciting masterpiece; we'll only reveal the finished product at SED on 13th May 2008.
First of all, the DAF FAD XF 105 8x4:
The EFFER crane on the manufacturing line in Italy at the beginning of April:
The crane arriving at our Head Offices in Market Weighton. It had been travelling for around 72 hours, from Italy, through the Mont Blanc Tunnel, up through France, acros the channel and up to East Yorkshire. Along the way, the driver was stopped several times and asked what it was, and the French kept taking pictures. Even Customs wanted a good look at - just because it's such a magnificent piece of Engineering. In the 'flesh' it's even more magnificent!
The crane 'in build' in our Workshops:
Below are some images of operational EFFER 1750's in mainland Europe.
