5 Days To Go!

The excitement levels at Britcom have been sky high (literally) this week with the final tests on the EFFER 1750, owned by Sharron Pattison Logistics of Hull, taking place mid week.

Almost all of Britcom's 70 employees and Gary Pattison Junior of Sharron Pattison Logistics were out to see this magnificent masterpiece reaching for the skies in its first test routine.

The EFFER 1750 will be on show at SED next week, held at Rockingham Speedway, Corby from 13-15 May.

Britcom International will be displaying the EFFER 1750 alongside a range of other engineering exhibits, and Neuson plant equipment.

Britcom Attending Vertikal Days

Vertikal Days is the UK's dedicated event for the lifting equipment industry and is held at Haydock Park Racecourse 25-26 June 2008.

Since Britcom's membership of ALLMI back in March of this year, we have decided to push forward with our EFFER crane marketing and attend Vertikal Days for the first time.

Vertikal Days is an exhibition for the whole of the industry including:

Mast Climbers and Hoists
Mobile Cranes
Tower and Trailer Cranes
Loader Cranes

One Week To Go!

With only one week to go until doors opening, Britcom are busy putting the finishing touches to what, we anticipate, will be a success for us and for our customers.

The EFFER 1750, owned by Sharron Pattison Logistics of Hull, is looking even more impressive day by day, and is all set to make its debut (as are Britcom). The Britcom Team, and the team at Sharron Pattison are very excited about this unveiling next Tuesday.

Just to whet your appetite, here is an update of the progress of the build taking place.

The BIG One - Our SED Highlight Not To Be Missed

Britcom International, making their SED debut appearance this year, have announced the highlight of their stand (N652) will be an EFFER 1750 lorry mounted crane – believed to be the largest, greatest capacity and longest reach knuckleboom crane operating in the UK.

The EFFER crane has been brought over from Italy, and is being mounted on a DAF FAD XF 105 8x4 Super Space Cab, short drop-side body with various drawbar trailer options.

The EFFER 1750 features:

Horizontal outreach 32.2
Vertical height - 36m
Max lift 38200Kg (without jib)
Lift at max reach 1550kg @ 32.26m
6000Kg hudraulic winch (with two falls 12000Kg)
Exclusive Decagonal boom profile & the use of high tensile steels to ensure the best power:weight ratio in the market
Prodec (progressive deceleration) allows a smooth almost seamless extension of the 14 extension sections preventing dangerous oscillation of the load & increasing the structural life of the boom
All wear/sliding pads are made from bronze
Continuous slewing rotation
Tilt-prevention warns the operator if the machine becomes unstable
Symmetrical positioning of the extension cylinders ensure an aligned boom (not curved), when fully extended
Complete progressive control from the radio remote control with the facility to decrease the operational speed for greater precise manoeuvres especially at maximum reach
Integral self contained chassis sub-frame

Countdown To SED - 3....

With SED only 3 weeks away, things are really hotting up at our Head Office in Market Weighton.

The months and weeks of planning is all starting to come to fruition, to make sure our first visit to SED makes a lasting impression on those visiting Stand N 652.

In addition to the Neuson Plant equipment and the new-to-Britcom range of Arrowhead Hydraulic Breakers we will also be exhibiting an Edbro Skiploader, and a range of EFFER Cranes.

Two further exhibits are currently work in progress, and the Engineering Team are working hard to deliver a Britcom spectacular.

Without wanting to give everything away, we'll keep these last two exhibits under wraps, but check back next week, when we'll announce the highlight of the Britcom stand.
